yoo_I have PR a fix for mcmkl based on alex's patch 0.10.010:58
yoo_it works fine for me but it seems that with new changes in shogun repo with multiclass machine there is an issu with "set_multiclass_confidences"10:59
yoo_to be fix ... (training is ok)10:59

Guest85567hi, I tried to install shogun 2.0.0 on a centos 6.3 system. Via yum only python 2.6 is available, so I installed python 2.7.3 by hand and numpy as well. When I try to install shogun with python 2.7 it says that the development packages are missing. But they are available (I installed it via  rpm package that I build myself and the devel package is available). The building with python 2.6 is working. Can anybody hint me in the right direction to get it com12:13

sonne|workwell guest - it works here under python 2.6 and centos just fine - so don't bother13:26

Guest85567sorry for the disruption bad I had to reboot unexpected. Thanks for the answer. But I have one question more. one of our developers wants to use it with python 2.7.3. And I really don't know the tool. So it doesn't make a difference with wich version of python I build the interfaces?14:05
sonne|workGuest85567: from shogun's side it doesn't make a difference14:06
sonne|workmaybe he needs some new python2.7 stuff...14:06
sonne|workanyway what you need to compile it w/ python2.7 is to have python2.7's devel files and its shared library and of course numpy devel stuff around14:07
Guest85567that was the problem, I have the python2.7 devel stuff around, but when I install numpy it seems not to get/install the devel files, wether I install it with pip/easy_install or from source.14:19
Guest85567It seems the the python_modular interface compiled with python 2.6 works with python2.7 :). Thanks.14:53

@sonney2kblackburn, I've just managed to reproduce the issue on the buildbot - it only happens when I compile with optimization flags enabled!21:28
blackburnha!21:28
@sonney2ktotally clueless how this can be fixed21:29
@sonney2ktemplate hell I guess21:29
blackburnthere is no such thing :D21:32
@sonney2kblackburn, I am trying operator overloading instead of templates now...21:35
wikingsonne|work: mmm always use volatile ;)21:38
blackburnsonney2k: which example fails on your machine?21:39
blackburnwiking: volatile? what for?21:39
@sonney2kwiking, why?21:39
@sonney2kblackburn, all the ones that fail on the buildbot21:39
blackburnI just compiled with optimizations on21:39
blackburnand it works21:39
blackburnit was clang though21:39
blackburnah stoop stop21:39
blackburnno, still working21:40
blackburn:D21:40
blackburnokay gcc21:40
@sonney2k4.7.2  here...21:40
@sonney2kgcc 4.4.5 on the bb / or gcc 4.5 / 4.621:41
wikingbecause sometimes there's a problem with setting the variables ;)21:41
wikingand that usually happens when u let gcc to decide for optimizing variables21:42
wikingso sometimes u have to use some forced vars21:44
wikingotherwise gcc will do it's magic21:44
wikingheheh21:46
wikingstreaming features ;)21:46
blackburnsonney2k: works here21:48
@sonney2knah overloading T* foo() is a bad idea - it would require translating to foo(T* &)21:49
@sonney2kblackburn, haha21:49
@sonney2kdoesn't help us to fix the builds...21:49
blackburnwell I am curious how to reproduce then21:49
@sonney2kblackburn, well it is crashing on any buildbot so lets just get some backtrace / valgrind log from there21:50
blackburnand even no valgrind errors21:50
@sonney2kblackburn, you sure that you did not have --disable-optimization in your configure flags?21:51
blackburnsure21:51
@sonney2kboah its compiling slowly..21:57
@sonney2kblackburn, that's the one I am getting http://dpaste.com/833436/22:00
blackburncan yuo shoud valgrind one22:00
blackburnargh22:00
blackburnshow22:00
blackburn:D22:00
@sonney2khttp://dpaste.com/833437/22:01
@sonney2klooks exactly like the template is not taken22:02
blackburnsonney2k: multiclasslabels.cpp:1722:03
@sonney2kblackburn, yes?22:04
blackburnis it ok?22:05
@sonney2k    m_multiclass_confidences = SG_MALLOC(SGVector<float64_t>, num_labels);22:05
@sonney2kthis line?22:05
blackburnyeah I mean we calloc and then inplace new22:05
@sonney2kcalloc where?22:05
blackburnmalloc22:06
@sonney2kwe just do SG_MALLOC22:06
@sonney2kso that will now call new[]()22:06
blackburn17-18 inplcae new22:06
@sonney2kehh no such lines in my code22:06
wikingdoh22:06
wikinghey22:06
@sonney2kdid you git pull?22:06
wikingisn't it confusing a bit22:07
blackburnoh22:07
@sonney2kwiking, what?22:07
wikingthat SGSparseMatrix (number of examples, feature_dim)22:07
wikingwhile SGMatrix(feautres_dim, num of examples)22:07
blackburnmy git got crazy22:07
@sonney2kwiking, urgs22:07
@sonney2kyes it is22:07
wikingthis is why this guy's code is crashing22:08
@sonney2ksgsparsematrix stuff should follow sgmatrix...22:08
wikingok22:12
wikingsupport email has been sent22:12
wikingto the list22:12
wikingbut yeah22:12
wikingsomebody fix the sgsparsematrix api22:12
wikingas this is really confusing22:12
wiking...22:12
@sonney2kwiking, yeah but until we can compile shogun again it is low priority22:14
@sonney2kblackburn, can you reproduce it now?22:15
wiking:DDD22:22
wikinghahaha22:22
wikingyou guys fscked up shogun HEAD22:22
@sonney2kwiking, and now we make you fix it.22:22
wikingno way22:23
wikingi regred that i rebased already your first attempt for implementing inline malloc; )22:23
@sonney2khehe22:26
@sonney2kwiking, if you figure out why it works in debug mode but not w/ optimizations then we are good22:27
wikingwhat is not working?22:28
@sonney2kwiking, it ignores my template specialization22:29
@sonney2kno idea whats wrong though22:30
@sonney2kbut too tired to keep trying now22:30
wikingsonney2k: which code?22:31
wikingi wasn't following the last 2 days commits22:32
wikingdude22:34
wikingseriously22:34
wikingtemplate by #define22:34
wikingand u r sure you are only passing classes to an sg_malloc...?22:36
wikingtemplate <class T> T* sg_generic_malloc(size_t len, const char* file, int line) = >22:37
wikingtemplate <typename T>22:37
